BreakDown is the new generation of Edutainment, bringing the message of self control and hope to a generation of young people looking for the REAL thing.

BreakDown is a team of young people who bring a powerful and dynamic message to their peers. This fast paced, high energy performance is designed specifically for the MTV generation. BreakDown's explosive and inspirational message was created to breakdown the lies that our sexually saturated culture has been sending our youth for years!

This presentation tackles the tough issues of sexual abstinence until marriage, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, second chances, teen relationships, sexual assault, self-esteem, TRUE sexual freedom and so much more. Guaranteed to grab and keep the attention of today's youth, BreakDown will shock, challenge and inspire even the most skeptical of teen

This is how we do it...

BreakDown uses several different approaches to addressing these issues.
Through music, hip-hop dance, drama, inspirational speaking, video and more teens are engaged, educated as well as entertained. Our amazing dance team uses music and hip hop style dance to grab the attention of the audience and present abstinence as a cool and most importantly realistic choice for young people. Too many times the decision to abstain is portrayed by the media and society as boring, uncool and outdated. In one hours time we will Breakdown that old stereotype and create a new one. That choosing not to have sex is cool, and normal.

Our drama team will take any audience on an emotional roller coaster ride that ends with a challenge for teens to live a life without regrets. Using storylines that are based on realistic, real life situations, teens are able to witness the pain, heartache and regret that often accompany engaging in risky behavior such as pre-marital sex. These scenarios are intended to encourage young people to make wise choices with regard to relationships, sex, and their futures, as well as encourage them to make better choices if they have already become sexually active.

The motivational speaking segments are tied directly into the drama, and audiences are hit hard with the truth and facts about life, love and relationships. Since music, dance and drama cannot give all of the informational that young people need in order to make educated decisions concerning sex, the speaker serves as a liaison between the audience and the performers. Having the freedom to speak directly to the audience and challenge them with factual, real life information, the presentation becomes educational and motivational, as well as entertaining and cool.

BreakDown has also integrated videos segments of young people telling their real life stories into the presentation, encouraging audience members to learn from their mistakes. Having experienced the consequences to sexual activity, they encourage their peers to think seriously about the consequences to sex and serve as positive examples of making better choices by turning their lives around! To ensure a polished, professional appearance, BreakDown travels with its own technical team and equipment, including state of the art lighting, sound and video. Because we feel this message is so important, we believe it should be presented in such a way worthy of its importance. Our teens deserve to have a strong message of self-control, and HOPE that will compare to and exceed the destructive messages they receive from the media and other sources. BreakDown will become a force to be reckoned with that will help to change our cultural values toward that of TRUE sexual freedom. Sex without regrets, without worry of out-of-wedlock pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases, or emotional heartbreak.

BreakDown is perfect for school assemblies, youth conferences or other large-scale youth events. Everybody is NOT doing it, and we've got the teens to prove it! If you don't believe it. then let us come and break-it-down for you...

Why are we doing this?

We desire to inspire hope for the teens in our audiences! Hope that they always have choices. Hope that it is never to late to start over. Hope that the good choices they are making will eventually pay off. Hope that they can reach their goals and dreams by choosing wisely today. And hope that they are not alone in the world and that there are people who care about their lives and futures and ALSO want them to succeed!

Our message is not just for the mind (as far as education is concerned), it's for the heart and is focused on emotions. We want teens to feel valuable, worthy of respect and dignity, as well as empower them with knowledge. Teens are given freedom to choose their own path, but we encourage them to take the road less traveled because it is more likely to lead them to their dreams and TRUE love and happiness. Our program is about freedom. Everyone wants FREEDOM!

Speaking to young people in a way that allows them to feel valued and respected, and in such a way that honors them by believing and wanting the best for them works. That's why we do it.
